Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) camp, northeast of Ottawa. The CCC camp was founded in 1936.

Ransom Memorial Hospital. The hospital opened in 1931.

 

 


Virgil Sealey, Charles Young, Clarence Heckroot, Jack Richardson and Coach Orlis Cox. This Ottawa High School team won their Interscholastic Track and Field Meet relay in 1933 against a team featuring Jesse Owens, Cleveland thinclad phenom who would win four gold medals at the 1936 Berlin Olympics.
